Toy Poodle

Excellent for apartment living: small size, moderate exercise needs, and minimal shedding make the Toy Poodle an ideal urban companion. Daily walks and mental stimulation (training, puzzle toys) are important to keep the dog happy and well-behaved indoors.

Requires professional grooming every 6–8 weeks and daily brushing to prevent matting. Regular ear cleaning and dental care are essential. Needs moderate daily exercise—walks and play sessions. Thrives on close human companionship and may develop separation anxiety if left alone frequently.

The Toy Poodle travels well due to its compact size and typically qualifies for in-cabin travel on most airlines (always verify current carrier rules). An XS–S soft-sided carrier is suitable (cabin size): internal dimensions approx. 40 × 25 × 25 cm, allowing the dog to stand and turn around comfortably. Soft carriers of this size are typically accepted in-cabin by airlines.
