Lufthansa
A major European carrier with a wide network via Frankfurt and Munich; carries small dogs and cats in the cabin, larger ones in the hold.
In-cabin carriage
A pet with its carrier, combined weight up to 8 kg, is allowed in the cabin on most flights (some long-haul routes have a lower limit — check).
Hold carriage
Pets over the cabin limit fly in the hold (PETC) in an IATA-standard ventilated container.
Breed restrictions
Brachycephalic breeds are not accepted for hold carriage.
Fees
The fee depends on the route, roughly 60-500+ EUR depending on the route and carriage type.
Booking
Mandatory advance booking of the pet slot — at least 24-48 hours before departure, the number of in-cabin slots per flight is limited (usually 1-2).

Never give your pet a sedative or sleep medication before a flight without a veterinarian's prescription — pressure changes at altitude can make it fatal.
