Excess salt causes sodium poisoning: intense thirst, vomiting, in severe cases seizures. Brines, salted fish and chips are the usual culprits.
Symptoms
Intense thirst, vomiting, diarrhea, unsteadiness, tremors, seizures.
What to do
Provide water and contact a veterinarian if neurological signs appear.
