Onion in any form (raw, cooked, powder) destroys red blood cells in dogs and cats and causes anemia. Cats are even more sensitive than dogs.
Symptoms
Lethargy, pale gums, rapid breathing, dark urine, vomiting; signs may take several days to appear.
What to do
Contact a veterinarian; a notable amount warrants an exam and blood work.
