Fruits & berries
Cherry (pits and leaves)
Вишня (косточки и листья)
The ripe flesh of cherries is not inherently toxic, but pits, leaves, and stems contain cyanogenic glycosides that release cyanide when chewed. ASPCA warns these parts are toxic to both dogs and cats.
Symptoms
difficulty breathing, dilated pupils, red mucous membranes, shock (with large pit ingestion)
What to do
If your pet has chewed multiple pits or consumed leaves/stems, contact a veterinarian promptly.
