Mongrel (mixed-breed dog)

Дворняга (dvorniaga) is the Russian collective term for any non-pedigree, mixed-breed dog not belonging to a recognized breed. Thanks to genetic diversity, mongrels tend to have robust immune systems and generally live longer than many purebred dogs. Appearance, size, temperament, and health vary greatly between individuals depending on their genetic background.
