Travel
Toy and Miniature Poodles can travel in-cabin in a soft-sided carrier if the combined pet-and-carrier weight meets the airline's limit (typically up to 8 kg). Standard Poodles must travel as cargo. Acclimate your dog to the carrier in advance, provide water and a familiar toy. Always verify the specific airline's pet policy before travel.
Carrier size
Depends on variety: Toy and Miniature Poodles fit in a standard cabin soft-sided carrier (~18×11×11 in / 46×28×28 cm); Standard Poodles are too large for cabin travel and must travel as cargo.
Harness size
Varies by variety: XS–S for Toy, S–M for Miniature, M–L for Standard. A soft vest-style harness with no tracheal pressure is recommended.
Leash
1.5–2 m nylon or leather leash. A sturdy fixed leash for Standard Poodles; a retractable leash is acceptable for Miniature and Toy varieties in safe areas.
