Travel
Chihuahuas typically qualify for in-cabin travel in a soft carrier under the seat (combined pet+carrier weight usually under 8 kg). Dress them warmly in cold weather. Bring familiar food and water to minimize travel stress.
Carrier size
XS or S carrier: internal dimensions approximately 35–40 cm long and 25–28 cm high, allowing the dog to stand and turn around comfortably.
Harness size
XXS or XS harness; typical girth 25–35 cm. A soft vest-style harness is recommended to protect the delicate trachea.
Leash
Lightweight leash 1.2–1.8 m or retractable up to 3 m for walks. Always attach to a harness, not a collar, to avoid tracheal injury.
