Collie (Scottish Collie / Rough Collie)
The Collie (Scottish Collie) is an elegant herding breed originating in Scotland, widely recognized through the fictional character Lassie. It is an intelligent, loyal, and gentle dog that gets along exceptionally well with children and other pets. The breed comes in two FCI-recognized varieties — the Rough (long-coated) and the Smooth (short-coated) Collie.

Care
Rough Collies require brushing 3–7 times per week, daily during shedding season. Regular exercise (at least 1–2 hours daily), routine ear, eye and dental care, and monthly nail trimming are essential. They must not be kept chained; the breed needs close family contact.
